Stunt: Install Statue of Lenin in Fremont
Client: Fremont Art Walk

A splashy event to publicize a budding art walk in Fremont was the task at hand. When Muir Public Relations discovered that an 18-ton, 16.5-foot statue of Lenin was "available," we teamed with a local fine arts foundry to sneak it into Fremont under cover of darkness. Overnight the statue appeared in a corner of Fremont. A media frenzy ensued, and hundreds attended the art walk. We even rated a Horsey political cartoon. For weeks people gathered at the statue, arguing about war, morality, art, politics and Fremont.
